We are pleased to announce that Dr. Benhai Wang obtained his Doctor of Engineering degree in 2025 from the RCALS team at the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has recently rejoined RCALS as a postdoctoral fellow. His doctoral research focused on the noise characterization and suppression of high-harmonic mode-locked ultrafast pulse trains based on photonic crystal fibers. In his postdoctoral work, he will continue to investigate the control of high-harmonic mode-locked pulses in microstructured-fiber-based laser systems.

We look forward to Dr. Wang’s continued contributions to ultrafast laser research and to the advancement of photonic crystal fiber technologies and their applications.
