We are delighted to announce that Dr. Zhuozhao Luo has joined the RCALS as a postdoctoral researcher. She received her Ph.D. from Wuhan University of Technology in 2024. During her doctoral period, she joined RCALS as a joint doctoral student since 2022 and has decided to continue her scientific research at RCALS after achieving her doctoral degree. Her research interests include solid-core and hollow-core photonic crystal fibers (PCFs), supercontinuum, and fiber optic sensing.
“Engaging in the research of PCFs is akin to delving into a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of endless possibilities,” said Dr. Luo. “I think it’s fascinating to explore and optimize the various waveguide performances of PCFs and discover their innovative applications in multiple fields. It keeps me curious about scientific research.”
At RCALS, Dr. Luo will carry on her research including polarization maintaining hollow-core PCFs, high-mode purity PCFs as well as the innovative application like optical fiber sensing.
“If winter comes, can spring be far behind? I believe in the meaning of continuous learning and perseverance” said Dr. Luo. “I also hope that RCALS will achieve more groundbreaking scientific innovations and develop more useful applications.”
