We are happy to announce that Dr. Xintong Zhang joint the RCALS as a postdoctoral fellow. He obtained the PhD degree at University of science and technology of China. His PhD project was focusing on the manipulation of ultrafast pulses using photonic crystal fibers.

“The photonic crystal fibers have significant impact on ultra-fast laser science including optical frequency comb, supercontinuum generation as well as mode-locked lasers and so on, I’m deeply encouraged by the vast applications and opportunities of PCF, so I decided to apply for the postdoctoral position in RCALs, and I'm very glad to be offered the position as a postdoctoral researcher”, said Xintong Zhang.

In RCALS, Dr. Zhang will carry on research including soliton dynamics, electro-optical frequency comb as well as optical pulse compression using PCF.

“I'm really looking forward to working at the Russell Center and play with the ultra-fast science”, said Xintong Zhang.
