We warmly welcome Dr. Yuejiao ZI to RCALS as a postdoctoral scientist. She got her PhD degree at College of Big Data and Engineering, Guizhou University and studied at Observatoire de Paris for 27 months as a joint PhD student. Her work is related to the design of sub-systems with NIR components for microwave generation and corresponding phase noise characteristics. She knew the photonic crystal fiber for the first time from an optical source, i.e., an optical frequency comb.“I first knew a photonic crystal fiber from optical frequency combs, in which it was used to expand the optical spectrum of an optical frequency comb by one octave and make the measurement of carrier-envelope-offset possible. Its possible applications in other areas interest me a lot.”Dr. ZI has strong experimental skills in fibered optics, including construction of optical fiber sub-systems at the NIR region and operation of ultrafast optical instrumentation and laser sources, and experimental experiences in construction of RF frequency chains and phase noise characteristics of microwaves. She published papers in international journals (Optics Letters, Optics Communications, etc.), and her further research at RCALS will be related to Brillouin scattering in photonic crystal fibers.“Everyone here is friendly and glad to do me favor whenever I ask questions on research or life. I would say I really like the open and inclusive atmosphere.” Said Dr. ZI.
