Sabahat于2005年在巴基斯坦攻读电信专业的电气工程学士学位。毕业后，她在该领域工作了五年，担任技术和管理职位。2014年，她移居欧洲，在意大利和英国继续深造，攻读Erasmus光子网络硕士学位。2018年至2020年，在获得硕士学位后，她在西班牙从事特种光纤设计的研究工作。在该研究中，她利用先进的有限元模拟技术设计了一种多芯光子晶体光纤，并对其串扰和非线性特性进行了深入分析。

 自2021年至2024年，她在德国深造，攻读分布式光纤传感器博士学位。在此期间，她提出了一种基于拓扑相位的创新光纤传感方案。取得博士学位后，她在光纤制备洁净室担任技术岗位，工作了八个月。
