Prof. Jiapeng Huang

Jiapeng Huang graduated from Sichuan University in 2010. Then he completed the master program of Advanced Optical Technologies at Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany) in 2014. From 2014-2021, he worked as the lab engineer in the fibre fabrication team in Max-Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL, Germany). He obtained his doctor degree in 2020 in MPL, focusing on the development of record-breaking ultrafast mid-IR fiber lasers. From 2021-2023, we worked as full-time post-doc fellow in at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2023, He joined RCALS of SIOM as a full-time researcher. His research interests include on soft-glass Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCFs) fabrications, high-power ultrafast mid-IR fibre laser and ultra-precision mid-IR spectroscopy.
