Vice director, doctoral supervisor and professor at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Mechanics (SIOM). Leader of the infrared materials laboratory team. Graduated from SIOM with a doctor's degree in 2000 and worked as a postdoctoral at Muenster University in Germany from 2001 to 2005.

He invented high-performance large-size infrared glass and fibers with independent intellectual property rights, which is internationally leading in comprehensive performance, and has continued to obtain important applications in aviation and aerospace. He has studied the control of artificial microstructures on light fields, and explored the basic photophysics of microcavity control, achieving high-performance micro-nano single-mode laser output. He has published more than 200 SCI papers in world-class journals such as Nat. Comm., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., ACS Nano, Nano Energy, and authorized more than 40 invention patents.
